In an electrifying weekend for the Flesh and Blood TCG community, Poland’s Grzegorz Kowalski emerged victorious as the 2024 World Champion. Held over three intense days in Osaka, Japan, this premier event in the Flesh and Blood World Tour saw Kowalski clinch the championship title and a prize of $100,000 by expertly navigating his hero, Enigma, Ledger of Ancestry, through the competition’s toughest battles.

FAB WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

This year’s World Championship was a major stop on Flesh and Blood’s $1.5 million tour and attracted over 1,000 players and fans from around the world. Alongside the main championship event, attendees enjoyed a packed schedule that included a Calling tournament, a Battle Hardened, a Team World Cup, and an inspiring keynote from Flesh and Blood’s creator, James White. A thrilling Top 8 lineup featured talent from the U.S., U.K., Hong Kong, Poland, Australia, and Austria, keeping the global audience on edge through every move.

The championship final saw Kowalski face off against the U.S.’s Mercy Bickell, who skillfully piloted Aurora, Shooting Star. Kowalski's deck, featuring nine Count Your Blessings cards, proved formidable as he consistently gained life, outlasting Bickell’s aggressive strategy. Despite a powerful push from Bickell in her first Top 8 appearance, Kowalski’s fatigue-based deck ultimately prevailed, sealing his victory in a game that left fans buzzing.

OSAKA CALLING

The Osaka Calling event, part of the weekend’s lineup, drew 650 players, with Croatia’s Nikola Kramarić capturing the title using Zen, Tamer of Purpose. Meanwhile, the Living Legend Battle Hardened saw U.S. player Peter Buddensiek take home the trophy, piloting Kano, Dracai of Aether.

The event showcased a diverse metagame, with heroes like Aurora, Enigma, Dash I/O, Nuu, and Viserai making a strong impact. The varied hero pool highlighted the strategic depth and versatility that defines Flesh and Blood’s gameplay and appeals to fans worldwide.
